HOW CAN I KNOW JESUS?
Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with you. He wants to revolutionize your life and forgive you and give you a future and hope. He wants to give you a fresh start. As God’s creation, you were made for relationship with Him.
God loves you.
Someone might say how can God love me after all the things I have done? I know he loves you and loves me because it says in the gospel of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
What separated us from the love of God and His blessing in our lives? Our sins separate us from God. What is sin? Sin is our choosing to act with our free will to do, and say, and think things that go against God’s desire for us.
Evangelist Richard am I a sinner? The Bible says, “For all sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Our sins separated us from God who is holy, and good. Is there a penalty for our sins? Yes! “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
If we die without Jesus we will spend eternity separated from God in His heavenly kingdom.
The Good News.
God loves you and me so much that he sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.
Even though He is the Son of God and is perfect and has never sinned, He was crucified for us he took the punishment for our sins.
The good news doesn’t stop there after Jesus died on the cross for your sins and my sins, God raised Him from the dead. “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Because He lives we no longer fear death. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in me will live, even if he dies.” (John 11:25) This is the good news of Bible.
ASKING JESUS INTO
YOUR HEART
To receive God’s free gift of love, we must receive His Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12)
Evangelist Richard why in Jesus name? “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
“Jesus said in the gospel of John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”
We receive Jesus Christ by turning to God and asking Him to forgive our sins, and receiving Jesus Christ by faith as our Lord and Savior.
“…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
