STATEMENT OF FAITH

AT HARVEST EVANGELISTIC MINISTRIES WE BELIEVE:

THE BIBLE

We believe that, “All Scripture is inspired by God…” (2 Timothy 3:16). That “…No prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” (2 Peter 1:21) The Bible is the infallible written Word of God.

ONE GOD

We believe there is ONE true and living GOD, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for the sins of the world according to Scripture, was buried and three days later He rose from the dead, He ascended to the right hand of the Father and all authority in heaven in earth has been given to Him. (Matthew 28:18) And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

SIN AND HUMANITY

We believe the first man God created, Adam fell into sin, “So, then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men…” (Romans 5:18) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23) “…The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 6:23)

SALVATION

We believe “…There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) That name is Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift of God’s love. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourself, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8). Salvation is for all of mankind in every nation, tribe and tongue, “God our Savior…desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4) “Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13) We believe salvation is a given by the grace of God on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, merited by His shed blood, not on the basis of human merit or works. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe, “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14) We also believe in the filling of or Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4) We believe in the gifts of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

THE SECOND COMING

We believe in the rapture of the church (the body of Christ) at Christ’s second coming. “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:2-3) (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)

RESURRECTION

We believe that there will be two resurrections: for the saved, everlasting life to the lost everlasting damnation.

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe until the Lord’s returned believers have been commissioned by Christ Jesus to “…Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16)
