About Richard Meredith
Richard Meredith was saved at the age of 32. While attending his second year of Bible school, he became the assistant pastor of a church which was being planted in Pennsylvania. During that year of Bible school, an evangelist was teaching a class on evangelism.
After the class, Richard went up to shake the guest speaker’s hand, and immediately he felt like his heart exploded. A few months later, he went on his first mission trip to Russia with that evangelist. When Richard returned home, he knew that his heart was changed and that he needed to go back and answer the call on his life.
As he scheduled his first crusade, he prayed, “Lord, if people are saved and healed, then I will know that you have called me as an evangelist.” The prayer of his heart was answered on that first trip as people were saved and healed in Jesus’s name.
More than 30 years have now passed since Richard founded Harvest Evangelistic Ministries. He has preached the gospel to millions of people on four continents and has seen millions saved to the glory of God. The Lord has confirmed His Word by signs and wonders.
In addition, Richard desired to have a book he could give to others that would tell them about salvation. When he was unable to find a book that met this need at a Christian bookstore, he authored a book titled Placing Our Lives in His Hands. He sent the manuscript to Tyndale House Publishers, and they liked it and gave him a grant to print thousands of copies to give away in the USA, Africa, and South America.
Evangelist Richard has been married to his beautiful wife Carol for forty-three years. They have three children and five grandchildren.
