If you have been forgiven of your sins, you know how good our God is and His mercy and grace has been poured out on us through Jesus Christ His Son. You are about to read a testimony of two Aghori who had their lives changed by the power of the Gospel. To appreciate their testimony let me share about their rituals.

 Disclaimer: While this post is not incredibly graphic, it does include details about the Aghori cannibalism rituals in Varanasi India.

The Aghori Sadhus is one the most feared cults in India. They earned this reputation because of one of their most notable practices- cannibalism. It is important to note they don’t kill people for their flesh. They live in cemeteries and cremation grounds and eat the corpses brought into these grounds. Most people are cremated in Varanasi, but some families cannot afford cremation so their dead are placed in the Ganges River. The Aghori will fish the bodies out of the Ganges River where they have been deposited. The villagers who live along the river will tie a rock around the bodies to keep them submerged.

 The two men in the photo are Aghori. They walked into the small market near the Ganges River. While moving through the market they walked by a small shop where our TV broadcast was broadcasting. They stopped and started to watch and listen to the broadcast.  The Lord opened their hearts to understand the message of God’s love for all man-kind by sending His Son Jesus to die for the sins of the world. They followed along in prayer at the end of the broadcast. They reach out to  pastor Isaiah who helped us organize the television broadcast. They talked to Pastor Isaiah about giving their lives to Jesus.

Praise God that He doesn’t want anyone to perish and come to the knowledge of Christ! What great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1)
